Jiu Jitsu academies in Japan are thriving and full of competitive opportunities for women to participate in the sport. There is a large community of women jiu jitsu practitioners in Japan. A few competitive grappling events where women can compete in Japan are All Japan Jiu-Jitsu Championship and the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship. In Japan there are many gyms and dojos which have BJJ classes specifically for women only.
